亚洲文化部长论坛是首次在我国举办的研讨亚洲区域文化交流与合作的部长级会议，也是迄今为止在我国举办的外国部级官员出席人数最多的一次部长会议，与会各国文化部长共同签署了《佛山宣言》，为推动亚洲区域文化合作奠定了坚实的基石。第七届亚洲艺术节是迄今为止我国地级市举办的参加国最多、规模最大的中外文化交流活动，是亚洲艺术节第一次在一个地级市举办，同时也是中小城市办大节、探索文化产业发展新路的一次有益尝试，从2005年10月至11月中旬，亚艺节的演出类和展览、展示及推介类等主体活动陆续在佛山各地举行，来自亚洲各国的艺术家们以精湛的技艺展示了本国民族文化艺术瑰宝和自身的艺术才华。

The Cultural Asia Ministerial Forum, firstly held in China, is a ministerial level meeting discussing regional cultural exchange and cooperation in Asia and is also a ministerial level meeting ever held in China that witnessed the most attendees of ministerial-level foreign officers. The ministers attended cosigned Declaration of Foshan which lays a solid foundation for the promotion of regional cultural cooperation in Asia. The 7th Asia Arts Festival is the biggest Sino-foreign cultural exchange event firstly held by a local city, enjoying the largest scale and saw the most country participants, is also helpful for middle or small cities to try the holding of grand celebrations and exploring the new way of development of cultural industry. From October to middle November 2005, the main activities of Asia Arts Festival such as performances, exhibitions and promotions had been held in Foshan in a successive way, and artists from different Asia countries elaborately and skillfully showed us the soul of their national cultures and arts as well as their own artistic talent.
