Yangxin County is located in southeastern Hubei Province and on the south shore of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. It covers a territory of 2, 800 square kilometers and currently administrates 21towns with a total population of 988,000. ⑴人文历史灿烂 Splendid culture and history
这里8000年前就有人类活动的踪迹，已发现新石器时代遗址7处，商周遗址8处。西周属鄂，春秋归楚，秦为南鄂，西汉置县。建县始于公元前201年，迄今已有2200余年历史。
Human activities in Yangxin date back to 8, 000 years ago, and there are lots of unearthed sites of the ancient civilizations, which includes 7 of the New Stone Age and 8 of the Yin and Shang Dynasty. In the past, Yangxin used to be under the rules of the following vassal states: E under the Western Zhou Dynasty, Chu under the Spring and Autumn Dynasty, and Nan’E under the Qin Dynasty. Yangxin, as a county with a history of over 2,200 years from now, came into being in 201B.C. in Western Han Dynasty.
历代名人荟萃。三国大将甘宁、唐内相陆贽、宋文学家苏轼、大将岳飞、太平天国主将石达开等名人均来阳新，或居官，或游览，或作战。本籍俊杰辈出。晋有名士孟嘉，宋有文学家王质，元有武将张文忠，明有“后七子”之一吴国伦，清有太平天国状元刘继盛、外交家李蘅石，民国有辛亥革命元勋曹亚伯。近代，从这里走出了王平等10余位共和国将军。历代名人留下了大量遗迹或诗文，人文底蕴十分丰厚。
Yangxin has received the visits of numerous celebrities in history: General Ganning of the period of the Three Kingdoms, Prime Minister Luzhe of the Tang Dynasty, the great literati Sushi and General Yuefei of the Song Dynasty, General Shi Dakai of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, to name to few, they came here serving as governors, army leaders or merely visitors. Yangxin also has given birth to a large number of talented people, for example, Mengjia in the Jin Dynasty, Wangzhi in the Song Dynasty, Zhang Wenzhong in the Yuan Dynasty, Wu Guolun in the Ming Dynasty, Liu Jisheng, the Number One Scholar of the the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and diplomat Li Hengshi in the Qing Dynasty, Cao Yabo, founding father of the Revolution of 1911 during the period of Republic of China, Wangping and other ten famous generals of the People’s Republic of China, etc. All these outstanding people have left tremendous amount of poems or essays, thus bringing up a splendid culture.
⑵特产资源丰富 Abundant natural resources and specialities
山广水阔，土地肥沃，素称“百湖之县”、“渔米之乡”，是全国著名的苎麻之乡、湖北省林业大县、水产大县。由于位于长江中游多金属成矿带，铜、金、铅、锌等金属矿藏十分丰富，煤炭、石灰石，膨润土等非金属矿藏储量颇丰，现已探明的矿藏40多种，是全国八大产铜基地、全国百家重点产煤县之一，开发前景广阔。
Yangxin County is a vast area with adequate forests and water and fertile soil, and has always been known as “A County of Lakes”, “Land of Milk and Honey”, “Home of Ramee”, and an important county of forestry and fishery of Hubei Province. Because it is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, which is a belt of polly metallic ore and metallogenic, Yangxin has great reserves of copper, gold, lead, zinc, coal, limestone, bentonite, and so far over 40 types of minerals have been proved. Yangxin is one of the “Eight Important Copper Production Base of China”, and also is among the “One Hundred Important Coal Production Counties” of our country, so there is a bright prospect for further exploring.

山峦叠翠，河湖交织，融水乡之灵秀，山区之雄浑，原野之开阔于一体，自然风光秀丽。境内有省级生态旅游风景区仙岛湖、省级森林公园七峰山、省级湿地保护区网湖，有全省最大的陵园湘鄂赣边区鄂东南革命烈士陵园，有全国重点文物保护单位龙港革命旧址，还有全省第二大水库富水水库等自然人文景观，是旅游观光、休闲度假的“都市后花园”。
The natural sceneries in Yangxin are extremely beautiful with grand mountains overlapping each other and rivers and lakes mingling with each other. The scenery is a magical picture which combines perfectly the elegance of the southern China water town with the grandeur of the mountains and the vastness of the land. 区位优越，交通便捷。东临长江，西接京广，南及京九，北靠武黄，106、316国道横贯东西，武九铁路纵穿南北，大广（大连—广州）、杭瑞（杭州—瑞丽）两条高速在境内交汇，形成了10分钟上火车、半小时上高速、2小时上蓝天的快速交通网，为阳新走向世界铺就了通途。
Due to the superior location, the transportation here is very convenient. It borders on the Yangtze River in the east, leads to the Beijing —Guangzhou railway line on the west, the Beijing—Kowloon railway line on the south and Wu—Huang Highway on the north. The No.106 and 316 National Highway pass through this county from east to west, and the Wuhan—Kowloon railway line from south to north; the Dalian-Guangzhou Highway and the Hangzhou-Ruili Highway also cross this county. It only takes a 10-minute trip to the train station, a half-hour ride to the highway, a 2-hour trip to the airport. ⑵ 铝业名城 A famous county for the aluminum industry
阳新是湖北省最大的电解铝生产基地。现有鸿骏铝业有限公司、万兴铝业有限公司、阳华铝业有限公司、驰骋铝轮有限公司等企业，形成年产15万吨电解铝生产能力，铝轮毂50万只生产线，“十一五”期间计划实现电解铝生产能力25万吨，铝轮毂200万只，铝材加工10万吨，铝业产值60亿元。计划建设铝压铸件，铝型材、铝棒、铝箔等系列加工项目。
Yangxin County is the biggest production base for electrolysis aluminum in Hubei Province. The Hongjun Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd, Wanxing Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd, Yanghua Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd, and the Chicheng Aluminum Wheel Co., Ltd contribute a production capacity of 150,000 tons of electrolysis aluminum; there are already 500,000 production lines of aluminum wheel. During the period of the eleventh five-year plan, we plan to promote the production capacity to 250,000 tons of electrolysis aluminum, 2,000,000 aluminum wheels, 100,000 tons of aluminum work, and the total aluminum industry output value to 6,000,000,000 Yuan RMB. We also plan to develop the processing programs of aluminum die casting dies, alloy profiles, aluminum-bar, and aluminum foil, etc.
⑶ 金铜大县 A major gold copper alloy county
阳新是全国有名的高矿县，金属矿山资源丰富，已查明储量：金铜128万吨，铁290万吨，锰164万吨、铝38万吨、钼1.3万吨、钨4万吨、银2031.7吨。现已成为全国八大产铜基地之一。现有鸡笼山金矿、丰山铜矿、兴达铜矿、白云山铜矿、大林山铜矿、连永锰业、新武钼矿、金瓶山钼矿等企业。年产矿山铜2万吨、黄金2万两、银1万公斤、钨8000吨、铅锌4000吨。“十一五”期间计划建设铜产品系列加工项目，实现年产矿山铜3万吨、黄金2万两、钼精砂300万吨，金铜业产值30亿元。
Yangxin County enjoys a nationwide reputation for high mineralized mine with rich mental mines. The following is the proven reserve: 1,280,000 tons of gold and copper alloys, 2,900,000 tons of iron, 1,640,000 tons of manganese, 380,000 tons of aluminum, 13,000 tons of molybdenum, 40,000 tons of tungsten, 2, 031.7 tons of silver. It has become one of the eight major copper production bases of our country. Now there are lots of mining enterprises, namely, Jilong Mountain Gold Mine, Feng Mountain Copper Mine, Xingda Copper Mine, Baiyun Mountain Copper Mine, Dalin Mountain Copper Mine, Lianyong Manganese Mine, Xinwu Molybdenum Mine, Jinping Mountain Molybdenum Mine, etc. The annual outputs are as follows: 20,000 tons of copper, 20,000 Liang(a “liang” equals to about 50 grams) of gold, 10,000 kilograms of silver, 8,000 tons of tungsten, and 4,000 tons of lead-zinc. During the period of the eleventh five-year plan, we plan to develop the copper series products and we expect to realize the production output of 30,000 tons of copper, 20,000 liang of gold, and 3,000,000 tons of molybdenum, and the total output value of 3,000,000,000 Yuan RMB.
⑷ 水泥新都 A new metropolis for cement
阳新石材资源丰富，依托长江交通运输的优势，现建有华新水泥阳新分公司、富兰水泥厂、浙兰水泥厂、黄沙公司等几十家建材企业。其中：华新5000t/d水泥熟料生产线2条，总投资8亿元，年产高标号水泥600万吨，实际产值14亿元，税收1.2亿元，“十一五”期间，计划大力发展新型水泥、石材、熔剂灰岩等项目，形成沿江建材产业集群，实现年产水泥1000万吨，石材500万方，黄砂1000万方，熔剂灰岩1000吨、石灰石化工产品50万吨，总产值达40亿元，成为沿江建材工业走廊。
Yangxin is abundant in stone materials. By taking advantage of the favorable transportation condition of the Yangtze River, we have set up dozens of building materials enterprises, including the Yangxin Branch of the Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd, Fulan Cement Factory, Zhelan Cement Factory, Huangsha Mine Company. We have two Huaxin 5000t/d Cement Clinkers Production Lines, with a total investment of 800,000,000 Yuan RMB and a yearly production of 6,000,000 tons of super high grade cement, creating 1,400,000,000 Yuan RMB in productive value and 120,000,000 Yuan RMB in tax. During the period of the eleventh five-year plan, we are going to devote more efforts to programs of new types of cement, stone materials and flux limestone, aiming at shaping an industrial cluster of building materials along the Yangtze River. We plan to promote the output to 10,000,000 tons of cement, 5,000,000 cubic meters of stone materials, 10,000,000 cubic meters of yellow sand, 1,000 tons of flux limestone, 5000,000 tons of chemical products of limestone, and a total putput value of 4,000,000,000 Yuan RMB, making our county an industry corridor of building materials along the Yangtze River.
⑸ 能源基地 An energy base
阳新水能资源充足，蕴藏量达到8.8万千瓦。煤炭资源丰富，总储量高达2.8亿吨。现建有富水电厂一座。计划建设项目：劣质煤发电项目，总投资21亿元，年发电量15亿度。鸿骏铝业自备电厂，总投资6亿元，年发电量30万度。
Yangxin has plentiful hydropower resources, and the total reserve is estimated to be 88MW. Yangxin is also rich in coal, and the total reserve can reach some 280,000,000 tons. Besides the already existing Fuchi Hydroelectricity Plant, we plan to invest 2,100,000,000 Yuan RMB to build an Inferior Quality Coal Power Plant, expecting the yearly power amount to reach 1,500,000,000Kwhs. Meanwhile, the Hongjun Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd has its self-contained electric power plant, with a total investment of 600,000,000 Yuan RMB and an annual energy output of 300,000Kwhs.
⑹苎麻之乡 Home of ramie
阳新是享誉海内外的“山内麻”的故乡，近年又引进了优良品种华苎4号,华苎5号,全县可种植苎麻、棉花面积约12万亩。年产苎麻750万公斤，棉花300万公斤。现建有阳新远东麻业、兴富苎麻纺织、银丰纺织、真鑫纺织、裕安纺织等一批骨干企业，年产纯棉麻布900万米。计划新建苎麻脱胶厂，扩大麻纺加工能力。形成麻纺10万锭，棉纺15万锭的产出规模，年销售收入约12亿元。
Yangxin enjoys the good reputation of “home of ramie” both at home and abroad. We have introduced “HUA ZHU 4” and “HUA ZHU 5” recent years. The whole county is fit for growing ramie and cotton, and the total planting area for cotton is 120,000 mu(a “mu” amounts to about 667㎡). The yearly productive amount of ramie is about 7,500,000 Kilograms, and cotton 3,000,000 kilograms. Among the major enterprises are Yangxin Far-east Ramie Industry, Xingfu Ramie Textile, Yinfeng Textile, Zhenxin Textile, Yu’an Textile, etc., all these enterprises contributes 9,000,000 meters pure cotton on a yearly basis. We are planning to build a Ramie Degumming Plant to enlarge the ability of processing flax textile. Our goal is to achieve a yearly output scale of 100,000 spindles of flax textile and 150,000 spindles of cotton textile and to create a yearly sales income of about 1,200,000,000 Yuan RMB.
⑺化工新区 A new zone of chemical industry
阳新化工工业已初具规模。现建有晨天化工有限公司、泰鑫化工有限公司、瑞新化工有限公司、科生化工有限公司、昌兴化工有限公司等企业，年生产各种化肥20万吨、各类农药2.5万吨。计划进一步研制和开发新产品，提升化工产品附加值，“十一五”期末，化工产值达15亿元。
The chemical industry of Yangxin has begun to taken its shape. The enterprises involved in this field are: Chentian Chemical Industrial co., ltd., Taixin Chemical Industrial co., ltd., Ruixin Chemical Industrial co., ltd., Kesheng Chemical Industrial co., ltd., Changsheng Chemical Industrial co., ltd. These companies together produce about 200,000 tons of various types of chemical fertilizer and 25,000 tons of various types of pesticides. We plan to further research and develop new products to promote the added-value of the chemical products. Till the end of the eleventh five-year plan, the total output value of the chemical industry is expected to reach 1,500,000,000 Yuan RMB.
⑻生态旅游 Eco-tourism
七峰山旅游区位于阳新县西北角，处于长江中下游地区武汉、庐山、九宫山、赤壁等环状旅游圈的中心地带，交通便利。武九铁路、106国道穿场而过，距黄石市36公里，离阳新县城18公里。这里群山起伏，峰峦叠翠，茂林幽深，湖光山色，古城楼阁，相应成趣，景点棋布，美不胜收。七峰山、三教山、秦家山、香炉山、南岩峰群山竞秀；琵琶洞、仙人洞、天狗望月姿态万千；南岩观日、七峰林海、含风口远眺风光各异。有千年古刹七峰禅林，有佛教净地观音阁，有太平天国古城墙，还有罗北口水库、青山水库、陈家湖古民居等自然景观。可泛舟、可垂钓、可攀岩、可狩猎，是休闲、度假、旅游的胜地。
The Seven-peak Mountain is in the northwest of Yangxin, and is on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is located in the center of the tourism circle of Mount Lushan, Mount Jiugong, Chi Bi and Wuhan. It is 18 kilometers from downtown Yangxin, and 36 kilometers from downtown Huangshi. Both the Wuhan—Kowloon railway line and the No.106 National Highway pass through this county. The natural sceneries here are a feast to the eyes: the mountain ranges are rising and falling over here and there; the surrounding mountains and hills are shrouded in layered greenness; the forests are luxuriant, deep and serene; the ancient city and pavilion add radiance and beauty to each other; the beautiful scenic spots spread all over the place… There are so many beautiful places that one can’t simply take them all in. The Seven-peak Mountain, Sanjiao Mountain, Qinjia Mountain, Xianglu Mountain and the Nanyan Peak compete in beauty; the PiPa Cave, the Immortal Cave, Tian Gou Wang yue come in various postures. Looking in the distance, you will find the unique beauties of the Nan rock, the Immense Forests of the Seven-peak Mountain. There is also a splendid architectural culture, for example, the ancient temple building complex with thousands of years of history, the Buddhist Pure Land—the Guanyinge Tower and the ancient city walls of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom period, the Luo Beikou reservoir, the Green Mountain reservoir and the Chen Lake ancient folk houses. You can come here for boating, fishing, rock-climbing, and hunting as well. It is a paradise for tourism, leisure and vacation.
七峰山环境幽静，生态良好。著名的七峰林海面积3万亩，动植物资源丰富。有人工营造的杉、松、竹等用材林，也有楠木、香檀和党参、杜仲、厚朴、首乌等名贵木材和药材，是全国三大杉木种子园之一、省中日合格杉木良种科研基地、省级野生动植物保护区，獐、山鸡、蛇、野兔等野生动物随处可见，有“动植物资源宝库”的美誉。
The Seven-peak Mountain is serene and has a good ecology. The well-known Immense Forests of the Seven-peak Mountain occupy an area of 30,000 mu and vary in animal and plant species. There are man-made timber forests of China fir trees, pine trees, and bamboos. There are also famous wood such as Nanmu and wingceltics(Xiangtan in Chinese) and also precious crude drugs, such as Condonopsis pilosula(Dangshen), Eucommia ulmoides(Duzhong), Magnolia officinalis(Houpu) and Polygonum multiform(Shouwu), etc. It is one of the three national Chinese fir trees park, a research base of improved Chinese fir varieties, a provincial wildlife reservation , wild animals, such as the Chinese water deer, pheasant, snakes, hares are easy to find. In a word, it is titled as the “treasure house of wild animals and plants resources”.

The Xiandao Lake is situated on the northern foot of Mufu Mountain within the boundary of Yangxin. It is so named because of the historic site “Lingtong Xiandao” on the cliff of the lakeside. The Xiandao Lake is a collection of charming natural sceneries, cultural relics and rustic charm and enjoys the fame of “the Most Peculiar Lake of Hubei”. It is a provincial eco-tourism area. ⑽红色旅游 The Red Tourism---the Longgang Revolutionary site
龙港革命旧址群 龙港红军一条街，位于湖北的阳新、通山和江西的武宁、瑞昌4县交界处的龙港镇境内，全长620米，合面式，南北走向，临街房屋为二层单檐砖木瓦房结构，一进数重，古朴典雅，街势蜿蜒，是江南古镇的缩影。
The Longgang street is in Longgang town, which is in the boundary area of four counties, namely, Yangxin County, Tongshan County of Hubei Province and Wuning County, Ruichang County of Jiangxi Province. It has a total length of 620 meters and is in a north-south trend. The houses overlooking the street are two-storyed buildings which are tile-roofed and made of brick and have single eaves. Once you goes down to the street, you may find a lot of corners and bends. The street, as an epitome of the ancient towns in the southern area of the Yangtze River, is plain and elegant and winds along.
龙港明代称龙川市、晚清称龙港市。龙港老街始建于元末。清末民国初年，龙港老街店铺林立，旗幡招展，有商号、作坊三百余家，被称为“小汉口”。
Longgang used to be named as Longchuan Fair in the Ming Dynasty and Longgang Fair in the Late Qing Dynasty. The old streets of Longgang were built in the late Yuan Dynasty. Between the late Qing Dynasty and the initial stage of Republic of China, there was a forest of stores, and flags and banners of the stores fluttered on the street. There were over 300 stores and workshops, and is called a “mini Hankou(a prosperous commercial center in Wuhan)” .
1929-1932年，李灿、何长工、彭德怀等老一辈无产阶级革命家先后率红五军各纵队由湘赣入鄂，进驻龙港，开辟鄂东南革命根据地。龙港成为鄂东南革命根据地政治、军事、经济、文化中心，云集了党、政、军、工厂、学校、医院、银行、商店、电台等48大机关，被誉为土地革命时期的“小莫斯科”。龙港红军一条街现保存有革命旧（遗）址12处，2001年6月被国务院公布为第五批全国重点文物重保护单位，并载入《中国革命胜迹画卷》一书。
Between the years of 1929 and 1932, The predecessors of proletarian revolution, such as Lican, He Changgong, Peng Dehuai have successively lead the different columns of the 5th Red Army from Hunan and Jiangxi into Hubei and settled down in Langgang town and then opened up the Southeastern Hubei Revolutionary Base. From then on, Langgang became the center of politics, military, economy and culture of the Southeastern Hubei Revolutionary Base Area, assembling over 48 major organs of the party, the administration, the army, factories, schools, hospitals, banks, shops, business, and the communication, etc., thus it was known as the “Chinese Moscow” during the Agrarian Revolution period. There are 12 revolutionary sites now remaining in Longgang Street. In 2001, Longgang Street appeared on list of the National Major Cultural Relics Reservations published by the State Council and was collected in the book of “A Picture scroll of the Chinese Famous Revolutionary Sites”.
龙港红军一条街，是龙港及周边地区人民开展革命斗争的历史见证，是一部使广大人民群众和青少年了解历史、认识国情、继承中华民族光荣传统的生动教材，是一座天然的革命历史博物馆。
The Longgang Street has witnessed the period of history, during which the people in and around Longgang undertook the revolution. The history of Longgang is a lively textbook for the masses especially the young to understand the history, to learn about the national condition, and to inherit the glorious Chinese traditions; it is also a natural museum of the Chinese revolutionary history.
⑾网湖湿地 The Wang Lake wetlands
湖北省湿地自然保护区网湖湿地位于阳新县富水河下游，总面积30万亩，核心区面积10.8万亩。湖泊水面7万亩，水田1000亩。平均海拔35米，年平均气温16.6度，湖水常年深度2.3米。区内鱼类共22科88种，其中国家一级保护动物7种，二级保护动物23种，网湖湿地地势平坦、土质肥沃、气候温暖、雨量充沛、常年无霜期长、污染少、水质优、生态环境呈多样性，具备湿地动、植物生长、繁衍、栖息的环境，每年在此度夏、越冬的大天鹅、小天鹅、绿头鸭、豆雁、鸿雁等候鸟多达30多种、12万只。2004年被列为湖北省省级湿地自然保护区。
Yangxin County is a wetland reserve of Hubei Province. The Wang Lake wetlands are on the lower reaches of the Fushui River. The total area is 300,000 mu and the core area is 108,000 mu. The lake area is 70,000 mu, and the paddy field is 1,000 mu. The average altitude here is 35meters, the annual average temperature is 16.6℃, and the annual depth is 2.3 meters. There are fishes of 88 species of 22 families, among which, 7 are listed as the first grade, and 23 the second grade animals under the protection of the Chinese government. The area has plain terrain, fertile soil, delightful climate, plentiful rainfall, a long frost-free season, a low pollution load, a wide diversity of eco-environment. The area also possesses the environment for the animals and plants to grow, to reproduce and to perch. There are more than 120,000 migratory birds of over 30 species spending summer and wintering in this area each year, for example, the whooper swans, the whistling swans, the mallards, the bean geese, and the swan geese. In 2004, this area was listed as a provincial wetland reserve of Hubei Province.
⑿生态农业 Ecological agriculture
阳新土地肥美，仓廪丰实。全县耕地面积60万亩，粮食年产33650万公斤，油料2350万公斤，瓜菜1．8亿公斤。现已建成8万亩优质苎麻基地，30万亩“双低”(低芥酸、低硫苷)油菜基地，15万亩玉米基地、30万亩优质稻生产基地，被国家定为苎麻之乡、南方玉米基地县。
Yangxin has fertile soil and a rich storage of food. The total farmland area is 600,000 mu, harvesting an annual production of 336,500,000 kilograms of crops. The annual amount of oil-bearing seeds is 2,350,000 kilograms and the amount of vegetables and melons is 180,000,000 kilograms. There is a quality ramie base covering an area of 80,000 mu, a “Double-low”(low-erucic acid and low-glucosinolate) quality rapeseed base covering an area of 300,000 mu, a corn base covering an area of 150,000 mu and a quality rice production base covering an area of 300,000 mu. Yangxin is awarded as “Home of Ramie” and a “South China Corn Base County” by the State Council.
阳新湖泊众多、水产丰富。全县有富河、大冶湖、海口湖等6大水系，69条大小河流和114个大小湖泊，总水面60万亩，可供养殖水面35万亩，其中精养基地3.5万亩，围栏养殖基地7万亩、特种水产品养殖基地20万亩，水产品年产量达3．8万吨，有各种淡水鱼类20科88种，主要水产品有鲤、鲭、鲢、鲫，特种水产品有鳜鱼、银鱼、春鱼、螃蟹、河豚、珍珠等。
Yangxin has numerous lakes and thus abounds in aquatic products. Within the county, there are 6 water systems, including the Fu River, the Daye Lake and the Haikou Lake. In total, the water area is some 600,000 mu, consisting of 69 rivers and 114 lakes of varying sizes. The area that is suitable for aquaculture amounts to 350,000 mu. Besides, there is an area of 350,000 mu for intensive-culture and a 70,000- mu area for pen-culture. The base for special aquaculture culture takes up an area of 200,000 mu with an annual output of 38,000 tons. There are 88 species of 22 families of freshwater fishes, the major aquatic products including carps, mackerels, silver carp, crucian carps, and the special aquatic products including mandarin fishs, whitebaits, Shisamos, crabs, globefishes, and pearls.
阳新山场广袤，茶绿桔红。全县山场面积221万亩，宜林面积174万亩，有林面积119万亩，活立木蓄积量110万立方米，盛产楠把竹、香樟、茶叶、油茶等，茶叶年产25万公斤，水果年产1000万公斤。现已建成20万亩楠把竹基地，100万亩用材林基地、10万亩吴茱萸基地、3万亩茶叶基地、5万亩油茶基地，被列为全国速生丰产林基地县和长江中下游水果开发项目县。
Yangxin has vast parent material mountains and the total area adds up to 2,210,000 mu. The area suitable for forestry is 1,740,000 mu; the forested area is 1,190,000 mu; the volume of living trees is 1,100,000 cubic meters. Yangxin is alsp teeming with nan bamboo (“nan bamboo” is a most precious variety of “mao bamboo” ), camphor tree, tea, and oil-tea camellia; the annual output of tea reaches 250,000 kilograms and the annual output amount of fruits is 10,000,000 kilograms. There is a nan bamboo base of 200,000 mu, a timber forest base of 1,000,000 mu, an evodia rutaecarpa base of 100,000 mu, a tea base of 30,000 mu, and an oil-tea camellia base of 50,000 mu. Yangxin is listed as a “Base County of Fast-growing and High-yielding Plantation” and a “Fruits Development County along the Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River”.
阳新六畜兴旺，猪肥禽壮。全县草场grassland面积90万亩，大牲畜有黄牛、水牛、山羊、生猪，主要禽类有鸡、鸭、豚。全县年出栏菜牛5000头，生猪35万头，山羊5万只，年出笼鸡120万只，鸭16万只，豚16万只。现已建立15万头三元杂交猪养殖基地，100万只阳新豚基地，1万头黄牛品改(西门塔尔l)基地，5万只优质羊基地，10万只肉鸭基地，2万只山鸡养殖基地。
The domestic animals of are all thriving in Yangxin. The grassland area totals 900,000 mu. Big livestocks includes yellow cattle, buffalo, goat, and pig and farmland birds include chicken, duck, and France Muscovy. Each year Yangxin produces about 5,000 commodity beef cattle, 350,000 live hogs, 50,000 goats, 1,200,000 chickens, 160,000 ducks, 160,000 Tuns(a domestic fowl seemingly looks like a duck and has the same habits and characteristics with a duck ). There is a Three -way –cross pig breeding base with a production capacity of 150,000 heads, a Yangxin Tun base with a production capacity of 1,000,000, a Chinese Simmental base with a production capacity of 1,000 heads, a quality goat base with a production capacity of 50,000, a table duck base with a production capacity of 100,000, a pheasant breeding base with a production capacity of 20,000.

优惠政策Preferential policies
1、凡新办企业，享受国家级扶贫开发县、 比照西部大开发和振兴东北老工业基地的优惠政策。增值税准予按规定以外购固定资产进项税额抵扣；企业所得税按15％的税率征收 (新办的交通、电力、水利、邮政、广播电视企业，经营期在10年以上的，自获利年度起，第一年至第二年免征企业所得税，第三至第五年减半征收企业所得税)。
The newly-started enterprises are able to enjoy the preferential policies implemented in the State-level development-oriented poverty-alleviation programs for the county towns, in the light of the policies carried out in the process of developing western regions and rejuvenating Northeast China and other old industrial bases. 2、对一次性固定资产投资l亿元以上的工业项目，享受“两免六减半”的扶持政策， 即从投入生产起两年内，县政府按其所缴纳的企业所得税地方留存部分， 由县政府当年全额返还该企业用于扩大再生产或实施技术改造； 第3年至第8年，县政府按其缴纳的所得税地方留存部分， 由县政府按50％返还该企业扩大再生产或实施技术改造。对一次性固定资产投资5000万元以上、1亿元以下的工业项目，享受“两免四减半”的扶持政策；对一次性固定资产投资2000万元以上，5000万元以下的工业项目，享受“两免两减半”的扶持政策。

3、投资在1 000万元以上的工业项目和投资500万元以上的农产品加工项目， 以及投资500万元以上的镇(区)招商引资项目，建设期间免收县级应收的行政事业性规费。建成投产后，除国家规定的社会保险费、环境保护费、矿产资源补偿费及中央、省、市收取部分(按收费标准下限收取)外，免收两年其它规费。

5、注册资金在1000万元以下的企业，工商注册登记费按注册资金的0.8‰征收；注册资金在1000万元以上、1亿元以下的企业，工商注册登记费按注册资金的0.4‰征收；注册资金在l亿元以上的企业，免收工商注册登记费。农副土特产品注册商标，免收县级费用。企业改制所需办理的工商、税务登记和各种过户手续，除证照工本费以外的行政事业性收费一律减免。

6、所有新办项目用地实行招标、拍卖、挂牌出让的方式取得土地使用权。凡投资5000万元以上、投资强度不低于100万元/亩的招商引资项目，可在我县工业园内落户(含富池至韦源口沿江工业园)，新入园项目土地出让费用按最低价8万元/亩收取。
The land-use rights for the newly-operated projected should be acquired by means of public bidding, auction and quoted selling. For the projects attracting investment more than 50 million yuan and not less than one million yuan per mu, they can settle in our county industrial garden (from Fuci to Weiyuan along the river). The land is sold at the lowest price 80 thousand yuan per mu.
7、凡一次性固定资产投资在1000万元以上、5000万元以下落户阳新县的生产性项目，县政府将一次性奖励项目建设启动资金3万元/亩；5000万元以上，县政府将一次性奖励项目建设启动资金5万元/亩。

1、引进的外商投资企业，除享受上述优惠外，县政府还将按外商投资部分实际到资额每100万美元，奖励人民币5万元的标准，奖励该企业法人代表(最高不超过人民币30万元)；对外贸出口创汇型企业，县政府按企业每直接出口 100万美元，奖励人民币5万元的标准，奖励该企业法人代表(最高不超过人民币30万元)。

4、凡引进资金来阳新县新办企业(或改扩建企业)，按照企业实现税收(或新增税收)，对招商引资中介人或单位给予三年奖励，即：年上缴或新增税收50万元以上的，奖励中介人l万元；100万元以上的，奖励中介人2万元；500万元以上的奖励中介人3万元，且每增力100万元税收奖励1万元(最高奖励不超过30万元)，第二年减半，第三年按30％奖励。
